Learn two of our favorite chain making techniques in this intensive 3-hour jewelry workshop. Perfect your soldering skills as you create two classic chain styles—curb chain and foxtail chain—that form the foundation of fine jewelry making.

What You'll Learn:

In this hands-on chain making class, you'll master the techniques for constructing two essential chain styles. Learn the precise jump ring fabrication, linking methods, and soldering techniques required for curb chain construction, then advance to the intricate weaving pattern of foxtail chain. We will guide you through the specific skills needed for each chain style, including proper tension control, consistent link sizing, and seamless solder joins.

Workshop Details:

During this 3-hour session, you'll create sample segments of both curb chain and foxtail chain in brass, allowing you to practice and perfect each technique. All brass materials and studio tools are provided. Once you've mastered the methods, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to create full-length chains in your preferred metals—sterling silver, gold, or other materials of your choice—in your own studio, or use your shop hours so we can offer help
