Take your metalsmithing skills to the next level in this hands-on intermediate jewelry making workshop in Hood River, Oregon. In this in-person class, you'll learn how to fabricate metal tubes from scratch — a foundational metalsmithing technique that unlocks a wide range of jewelry-making applications.
Through step-by-step demonstration followed by guided practice, you'll gain confidence making your own tubes and applying them in key techniques: tube settings for gemstones, functional tube rivets, hinges, and handcrafted bolo tips. Whether you're looking to expand your silversmithing skills or add new structural techniques to your jewelry practice, this workshop gives you the knowledge and hands-on experience to use tube making across your future projects. Soldering experience is required.

We will be teaching using brass. If you have something specific you want to make silver tube for, please bring sheet silver with you.
